Code of Conduct for Students

At Government Polytechnic Morni, we strive to maintain a healthy, disciplined, and productive environment for all students. To benefit from the institute’s facilities, students must adhere to the established rules and regulations. These guidelines ensure the safety and well-being of all and are subject to change without prior notice. Students are advised to stay updated through the GP Morni Web Portal and notice boards. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for violations.


General Conduct:

  • Respect fellow students, faculty members, and staff.
  • Smoking, alcohol consumption, and tobacco use are strictly prohibited on the campus and in examination halls. Violations will lead to immediate expulsion.
  • Shouting, whistling, and using offensive language within or around the institute are not permitted.
  • Bringing weapons or sharp objects to the campus is strictly forbidden.
  • Physical violence or any form of bullying is prohibited. Offenders will face strict disciplinary action.
  • Mobile phone usage is not allowed during class hours and may result in disciplinary measures.

Respect for Property:

  • Do not steal, misuse, damage, or deface institute property. Violators will face severe penalties.
  • Laboratory and workshop equipment must be handled carefully and left in proper condition. Any damage due to mishandling will result in a fine.

Dress Code and Identification:

  • Students must attend the institute in clean, proper uniforms.
  • Carry and display your Identity Card at the entrance and wear it inside the campus at all times.

Attendance and Punctuality:

  • Late arrivals or early departures from classes will be marked as absences.
  • Attendance in all industrial visits arranged by the institute is mandatory unless officially exempted by the Principal. Reports on these visits should be submitted within two weeks.

Personal Responsibility:

  • Students are responsible for their own belongings and valuables. The institute will not be liable for any loss or damage.
  • Follow all safety guidelines in classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and during organized tours. The institute will not be responsible for accidents resulting from negligence.

Disciplinary Actions:

  • Misconduct, neglect of studies, or failure to respond to official notices will lead to fines or possible expulsion.
  • The decisions of the Principal regarding disciplinary matters are final and binding.
  • Any legal disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the Panchkula Court.
